I am absolutely thrilled to be attending the University of Cincinnati’s production of The Vagina Monologues this evening. And, not only that, but my dear friend Laura Perez will be performing in it.

The statistics relating to sexual assault in the United States are still abhorrent, and there is still a long way to go in this battle, especially considering the right wing’s insistent attack on women, including our contraception, our freedom of choice and even the very definition of ‘rape.’ We have to stay strong, and we have to get louder.

This Valentine’s Day, instead of giving the gift of candy or jewelry, give the gift of doing your part to end the epidemic of violence against women across the world. Give to RAINN if you are able. Thank you.
